The CPU in a computer is the brain of the operation, it helps run all of the applications when you get. It helps other components of the computer communicate and so on. However once you’re in the the program you need a space to store the data of where you are in the program. RAM does exactly that it temporarily stores data so they CPU can access it easily. The CPU stores it in RAM so that it allows the CPU to do multiple tasks at once. However when the computer is turned off or restarted this data and information is stored in your hard drive.
